Frequently asked questions
Who teaches Great Fish Agility classes?
Mark Palmer teaches every class himself. He is a Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Trainer (CST) and Certified Team Coach (CTC) and has trained more than 12,000 professionals, and his students rate him 4.97 out of 5 across more than 1,000 Trustpilot ratings. The trainer you meet is the trainer who teaches.
What does a class cost?
Prices and dates for each scheduled public class are on its registration page; follow “See class dates and register” on the course page. For a private class, tell us your course, the number of people and your dates, and we will send a proposal.
What is included in a CSM or CSPO class?
Both classes include two days of live instruction with Mark and two years of Scrum Alliance membership. The CSM also includes the Scrum Alliance certification test, taken online after class; the CSPO has no test. After class, you get a resources email and page with your class materials, and the class Miro board stays open.
How does the CSM certification test work?
You take the CSM test online through Scrum Alliance after class. Mark’s CSM students average 94.5% on it.
How do virtual classes work?
Classes run live on Zoom, with a shared Miro board for the exercises. Cameras stay on for the whole class, so you need a computer with a camera and a reliable connection. Class hours and time zone vary by class and are listed on each registration page. Before class, work through the short Zoom and Miro guides on our Virtual Class Technical Support page so class time goes to learning.
Can I earn PMI PDUs?
Yes. Report the class in PMI’s CCRS under Education, then “Course or Training,” with Great Fish Agility, LLC as the provider. Claim one PDU per hour of instruction: 14 for a typical two-day class. Our step-by-step guide shows each screen.
Do you offer group or alumni discounts?
Yes. Groups of three or more get a group rate on public seats, and past students get an alumni discount. Ask us for the details.
Can you teach a private class for our team?
Yes. Mark teaches private classes for one organization, virtual or on site, built around your team’s own work. Tell us the course, the number of people and your dates, and we will send a proposal.
Can I reschedule or get a refund?
Yes, you can always reschedule. Before class starts, you can move to any later public class within 12 months, take a class credit for the full amount, or send a colleague in your place, all at no charge. We don’t refund a change of plans, but if we cancel or move a class, you choose a full refund or a free move. And if the class isn’t right for you, tell Mark before the end of the first day: you get a full refund, and you don’t receive the certification.
Do you work with government agencies?
Yes. Great Fish Agility holds GSA Multiple Award Schedule contract 47QSEA23D0033. It has trained teams for the U.S. Air Force (Air Combat Command), NASA JPL, the Library of Congress (Congressional Research Service) and graduate students and faculty at Norfolk State University. Before founding the company, Mark served as a federal employee in the Departments of Justice, Defense and Transportation.
Do you teach AI for Agile teams?
Yes. Mark teaches Scrum Alliance microcredentials on AI, including AI for Scrum Masters, Get Started with AI Prompt Engineering, and AI for Product Discovery and Strategy. They are currently available as private classes for one organization; ask us about bringing one to your team.
